Blizzard Blowout 2012

Cost: $40
Come out of the cold for this annual all-night event for kids third through eighth grade. The fun begins at the Nachand Fieldhouse with a dance party! From there, we'll travel to Champs Rollerdome and then to Puzzles Fundome where the kids will enjoy unlimited pizza and drinks! Then cap the night off at Hoosier Bowling Lanes. Fashlight Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 7th 7:30pm (Hunt begins at dark)
Cost: FREE Bring your flashlight to find eggs filled with candy and prizes at Warder Park in this fun hunt for ages 3 and up. When the park is dark your flashlight will be your guide to candy, eggs, and prizes! In this 1st annual flashlight egg hunt bring your light and basket to search for eggs in our treat filled hunt ring. Shine your light bright to find the special golden eggs you can redeem for a special prize basket! Please meet at Warder Park Gazebo.

Smokin' on the River State BBQ Competition
June 15-16
This will be t he third annual Smokin' on the River BBQ Competition in Jeffersonville, Indiana this year. This is a national BBQ contest that is sanctioned by the Kansas City BBQ Society and is a Grand Champion Automatic Qualifier for the Royale and Jack Daniels competitions. Payouts will be made to the top five winners in each category.

Crusin’ with the Blues Brothers
June 29th
Join us for our 2nd annual car cruise along Riverside Drive. Over 100 classic cars will line the river, followed by a stellar performance by The Blues Brothers (Jake, Elwood and the Boys). The cruise will begin at 5pm with entertainment will begin at 7pm on the RiverStage.
Buckhead Border Challenge Triathlon

The Buckhead Border Challenge will provide Kentuckiana multisport athletes a big-time event with a unique venue and
amenities previously only found in the larger events outside of the region. The Buckhead Border Challenge will offer
participants a challenging and memorable course along with unmatched professionalism in event management and
customer service. The Buckhead Border Challenge will consist of an Olympic Distance Triathlon (1500 meter swim, 40K
bike and 10K run) and a Sprint Distance Triathlon (approx. 400 meter swim, 20K bike, 5K run). There are also relay divisions
for the Olympic and Sprint distance triathlon (2 or 3 person).

Already in it’s 6th year, the Jeffersonville Parks Department is excited to be partnering with the Buckhead Border Challenge. The Jeffersonville Parks Department offers an outstanding training program and competitive outlet for young triathletes! We teach your kids that triathlons are triple the fun! Participants will receive instruction in swimming, cycling, running, nutrition, hydration and how to transition between events from a staff of experienced, competitive triathletes. Open to kids ages 5-14, this day camp has limited space available so register early. After a week of training and preparation, kids will put their newly acquired triathlon skills to the test in a short distance triathlon that will be both challenging and fun.
